WE had a swing in the garden,When you and I were young,And we'd play all day in the garden,In those days when the sun always shone.

There was wonder in every new day,

And we never once thought of tomorrow

Or those years would soon vanish away.

All that was a long time ago now,

And the sun is beginning to fade,

And the days of our childhood a mem'ry,

And the old garden swing where we played.
