The Twenty-Ten Club

OUR October meeting was just a social occasion with members enjoying fish and chips followed by apple pie or fruit salad with cream and a cup of tea or coffee.

We didn’t have a speaker on that day, so after lunch there was time to give members details of forthcoming events including a group holiday in 2011, plus the opportunity to visit the Houses of Parliament in the spring.

Enquiries are being made about both at the moment and more information will be given out at future meetings.

Names are now being taken for our Christmas buffet, which will be on December 9 and all names must be given in by the November meeting when we will be holding a bumper raffle with many of the prizes being suitable for Christmas presents, so it is hoped that it will be well supported by members as usual.

The afternoon finished with a quiz with a small prize for the winning table. Our next meeting will be on Thursday November 11 at 2pm in The Sandhurst Hall, Little Common Community Centre, when there will be a speaker to tell us about the work of Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. Members and visitors will be made very welcome. If you would like more details please ring 842946.
