Dates confirmed for Petworth Festival 2015

The dates for Petworth Festival 2015 have been confirmed as Wednesday, July 15, to Saturday, August 1. Petworth’s Literary Weekend will run from Wednesday, November 4, to Sunday, November 8.

Programmes and artist/author line-up will be announced nearer to each event.

The box office for the summer Petworth Festival opens to the general public on May 21, with priority booking for sponsors, patrons and friends starting on April 22.

Spokeswoman Kate Boswell said: “Petworth Festival are also delighted to announce this year there will be a walk-in box office in Petworth town centre. This is in addition to the online and telephone box offices.

“The Festival are very grateful to Paul Rosewarne, of Rosewarnes estate agents, for agreeing to host the box office at their offices in The Old Bank House, Market Square, Petworth.

“Details are still being finalised, however the walk-in box office will be open from Thursday, May 21, to Saturday, August 1, from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-1pm.

“As well as tickets, festival goers will be able to purchase the souvenir programme from the end of June, and also redeem their pre-paid vouchers if they have already purchased them.”

Petworth Festival has been celebrating the very best in classical and choral music, jazz, comedy and theatre for the past 36 years.”

“Founded by composer Robert Walker, it is to this day spearheaded by Lord and Lady Egremont of Petworth House,” Kate said. “Its smaller, but no-less-important event, the Petworth Literary Weekend, has been running for four years and gives audiences a chance to hear some of the UK’s favourite authors and poets talking about their work, giving readings and signing books.”
