Feel-good sets at Barnstormers

Compere Kevin Precious is back with more great comedy, introducing three top acts from the London circuit.

This month brings the delirious Jonny Awsum, the genial Barry Castagnola, and the distinctive Paul McCaffrey.

After completing an eight-year comedy apprenticeship as barman at The Chuckle Club, Jonny Awsum exploded onto the professional comedy scene with a crowd-pleasing set that’s seen him smash hundreds of gigs all around the world.

With his likeable style and trusty guitar, Jonny’s musings include everything from the white lies he tells his girlfriend to his new home town of Croydon and the memory of his first love at eight years old.

Comfortable with any type of gig, Jonny’s feel-good set has captivated audiences at every kind of venue from pub back rooms to 700-seat theatres to a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe with his hit show ‘Playtime’.

Jonny has played all the UK’s top comedy venues and is equally at home in front of a camera, having recently appeared on the nation’s TV screens presenting for Sky Sports and featuring in the Cravendale ‘Cats with Thumbs’ campaign, which has now been viewed well over a million times on YouTube.

He has also worked behind the camera as warm-up for Loose Women and is proud to be the public face of Puntigamer beer in Austria!

Comedian, actor and writer Barry Castagnola has firmly established himself as an accomplished comic performer.

He has been performing stand-up in the UK and internationally for over six years since blagging his way onto the stage at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

His easy-going (yet very physical) style, mixing personal anecdotes with some sharp topical and political comment, enthuses audiences at most of the major comedy clubs in the UK.

As well as being a popular compere, Barry regularly headlines gigs around the country.
