Fundraiser night for In The Wings next shows

In The Wings Youth Theatre Group recently held an '˜Indian Night' at the Shiplu Tandoori Restaurant in London Road, Bexhill, to raise funds towards the cost of their productions in 2016.

The sum of £240 was raised and the diners were entertained by several young members.

In The Wings Youth Theatre Group is staging Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat at St Peter’s Community Centre on April 9 with a ‘one-off’ performance and ‘Fame the Musical’ at the Izzard Theatre, Bexhill College, on August 5 and 6.

In The Wings is a registered charity formed in 2013 to encourage young people in the theatrical arts and is run by a team of highly qualified leaders and volunteers. They are particularly looking for youngsters from 7 to 21, regardless of experience, to take part in the shows. The cost of membership is kept to a minimum, only £10 per annum and £2 per session.

Simon Allen commented: “The group aims to foster and promote musical theatre for an age range of 8 to 21. It is a non-profit organisation with professional leaders aiming to develop the skills of local people. We are in our third year of operation having performed Cats and Into The Woods. Both shows received high acclaim.”
