Matchmaker John Freemantle from Premier Promotions said: “We have been trying to book Jonny Storm for a Peacehaven show ever since our first event at the Meridian Centre in 2013, but he is rarely free to accept Saturday dates in England because of his commitments on the continent. We have finally managed to snare him...after seven years!”

Jonny Storm is the reigning Premier Wrestling Federation lightweight champion.

The event will also feature the new Premier Wrestling Federation heavyweight title-holder Josh Faulkner, who beat former European champion James Mason in Worthing before Christmas to become the youngest holder of the championship in the history of the heavyweight division.

A spokesperson said: “The powerful 24-year-old body-builder, who combines his exploits in the ring with performing gigs on the stand-up comedy circuit, will be aiming to have the last laugh on the opposition by claiming victory on his first Peacehaven appearance for two years.

“Among the other stars battling it out for the king of the ring crown will be the ‘Man Mountain’ Karl Atlas, undefeated masked menace The Phantom, Buddhist tough guy Josef Kafka and another all-action newcomer to Peacehaven audiences, Sid Manelli.

“The show, in aid of the Mayor of Peacehaven’s charity fund and sponsored by Aquarius Solutions, will include tag-team and solo bouts in the run-up to the main event, in which the wrestlers are eliminated by being thrown out of the ring over the top rope, and the last man standing is the winner.”
