VIDEO: Chilli Fiesta attracts thousands

Thousands of visitors turned up the heat as West Dean Gardens’ popular Chilli Fiesta took place over three days.

From Friday (August 9) to yesterday (Sunday) bumper crowds enjoyed the heat of the sun and the even stronger heat from chillies, sauces and drinks at the event near Chichester.

Numerous stalls filled the garden lawns selling all manner of delights, with most providing a chance to taste their wares.

Musical entertainment was provided throughout the event, with many indulging in some salsa dancing.

There was also the chance to wander round the impressive gardens and glasshouses where an impressive variety of vegetables are grown, as well as all kinds of plants and flowers.

For those keen to improve their cookery there were various masterclasses.

West Dean College holds a wide variety of courses throughout the year.
