This year’s Festival is a celebration of the power of the imagination and it includes a Story Trail and Woodland Festival.

Festival director Gabrielle Hall says: “Be ready for anything on a magical journey. Follow the trail as it winds round the pond, up and up through the village, past colours and questions, signs and secrets. Meet friendly characters, tell a story and hear a story. Can you dream? Can you think? Can you keep your eyes and your mind wide open? Then you’ll find anything can happen in Wonderland ...”

The Woodland Festival is on Saturday May 11 and celebrates woods, bluebells, legends and fairies with Great Walstead School opening its bluebell wood to the Festival.

The school’s Chapel will magically turn into our Woodland Cafe, with a programme of musical entertainment from local children and there will be a Park & Ride scheme running from Great Walstead to the main Festival.

To book tickets for all activities visit the festival website.

The story trail (Sat/Sun) and entertainment in the Woodland Cafe (Sat only) are free of charge. Donations will be welcomed for the park and ride service.
