VIDEO: Mime artist entertains shoppers in town centre
Mime artists on street corners are a common sight in London's Covent Garden, but shoppers are being entertained by one in Crawley town centre today (Wednesday January 8).
The actor – who has remained tight-lipped when it comes to his name – is dressed in gold and stands stationary on a box in The Martlets until someone puts a coin in his pot.
Then he comes to life to shake their hand – or looks forlorn if the person wanders off without greeting him.
Other cheeky souls have attempted to trick him into moving while he waits for his next tip.
