VIDEO: Peter James’ inspiration for his latest Roy Grace novel

It is the latest in the Roy Grace detective series and sees Peter exploring the criminal underworld of 1920s New York, as well as the present-day murky meanderings of the Brighton antiques trade.

In the video, Peter talks through the inspirations of his new novel.

We see inside his home the author talks about his writing rituals (making a vodka martini), his background to how he got involved in writing in the first place.

He talks about real life people that have inspired the key characters in the book.
