VIDEO: summer fayre at Horsham’s Cootes Green

Dozens of residents visited the green opposite Cootes Pond in Horsham this afternoon (Saturday June 1) for a summer fayre.

This is the third major event the Cootes Farm Community Group has organised.

Following a very successful Royal Party back in 2011 a commitee was set up to organise more events.

A mistletoe fayre was held in the winter which also proved very popular.

Today’s Summer Fyre saw a variety of stalls, including face painting, beer and food tents.

Music was supplied by MAKSS and visitors could enjoy a ride on an old double decker bus as well as get a close look at a police van and fire engine.

Cootes Green, in Merryfield Drive, was made a town green in 2008 and a group of local volunteers look after the green and the pond.
