Wednesday July 2, 7.30pm: Meet at the King’s Head public house at 7.30pm or Sports Clubs’ car park by the A272 at 8.45pm (GR: 135/TQ 389210). Evening Nightlife walk on Chailey Common. Short circular walk on the common to see and hear the wildlife, hopefully including the Nightjar and Glow worms. 2 miles. Finish in the dark, please bring a torch. No dogs please. Thursday June 26, 10.30am: Meet at Rye Station (125/TQ 919205). Walk via Rolvenden Farm, Clayton Farm, Peasmarsh, Dew Farm, Winchelsea, Camber Castle, Rye. Note: Castle walk. A 10 mile gently undulating walk.

Friday June 27, 10am: Meet at the Rodmell car park. Turn off the Kingston Road to the National Trust Monk’s House, BN7 3HF. The car park is past Monk’s House and at the bottom of the road on the right (122/TQ 421065). Walk via SDW, Swanborough Hill, Kingston, 2 hour lunch at Lewes, Ouse Riverbank, Rodmell. Note: Castle walk. We can have a tour of Lewes Castle if there is a minimum of 14 people in the group. Provisional booking for 1pm. The tour costs £6.10 each and lasts for 1 hour. Please make contact if interested. Optional dinner in Rodmell, Abergavenny Arms after the walk. An 11 mile fairly level walk but climbs to the Downs.

Saturday June 28, 2pm: Meet in the small car park in Shipley near the church and windmill (134/TQ 144218). Walk via Shipley, Knepp Castles 1 and 2, Butchers Row, Rook Cross Farm, Dial Post, Hammer Farm, Shipley. Note: Castle walk. Knepp Castle 1 is a 20th century rebuild and Knepp Castle 2 is the ruins of the Norman castle built by William de Braose who also built Bramber Castle. A 7 miles of undulating farm and park land.

Sunday June 29, 10.30am: Meet in Counter’s Gate car park, Goodwood (east end of the racecourse) (120/SU 897114). Walk via East Dean, Tegleaze, Graffham (L), Graffham Down, Brockhurst Bottom, East Dean. A 10½ mile walk over Downland with some hard climbs.
