JAZZ: This week at the Hare & Hounds in Portland Road Worthing we are pleased to present The Arthur Catt Band. Arthur Catt worked on the Mecca circuit in the 60s and 70s with Ray McVay, Andy Ross and Ken Macintosh. He worked for Cunard lines for seven years on the QE2 and has played in all the West End theatres on various shows throughout the years. The band is locally based and specializes in Mainstream Jazz from the 40s, 50s & 60s. The band’s line up this evening, as usual, is Arthur Catt on trumpet, Dave Quincy on tenor sax, Mike Carey on piano, Godfrey Sheppard on bass and Cookie Jones on drums.
