UNDERSTANDING Islamic Jihadism is the title of a forthcoming day school organised by Bexhill branch of the Workers' Educational Association.

Conducted by David Alfred, tutor of the WEA's current Burning Issues of the Day course in St Leonards, the event will be held on Saturday, February 14.

Mr Alfred will survey those elements in the large, diverse world of Islam that can help students understand the origins, nature, extent and prospects of the different varieties of extremist, violent Islamism.

The day school will run from 10am until 1pm in the Church Room, St Augustine's Church (off Cooden Drive).,
