In December 2019, the pharmacies in High Street, Hastings, and Sedlescombe Road North, St Leonards, both closed for the final time.

The closure will leave one LloydsPharmacy in Turkey Road, Sidley, along with one in Battle Road, St Leonards, and at the Sainsbury's supermarket, in John Macadam Way, also St Leonards

A spokesman for LloydsPharmacy said: "We can confirm that the LloydsPharmacy store on De La Warr Road in Bexhill will close to customers on 11th December.

"We fully understand the impact that such changes can have on local communities, especially for people that have been our customers for a long time.

"As part of our decision-making process, we have looked at other community pharmacies in the area (for instance our branch on Turkey Road), with a view to mitigating the impact on patients as much as possible.

"We will be taking every opportunity to direct patients to other community pharmacies in the area and to support a smooth transition to facilitate an uninterrupted service.

"We are also currently consulting with impacted colleagues, and our aim is to redeploy members of the team, where possible, to other LloydsPharmacy locations or alternative roles within the business where suitable vacancies exist."
