Bognor Regis lawyer learns new mediation skills

A Bognor Regis family lawyer has added to her skills.

Susan Crockford has undertaken training with Resolution – an association committed to dealing with family law matters in a sensitive, constructive and cost-effective way.

A qualified solicitor for some 28 years, Mrs Crockford joined Chamberlain Martin based in Sudley Road in 1981.

She said: “I am very pleased to have this skill. Mediation is most worthwhile and can ease the pain of a family breakdown by reducing hostility, keeping communication channels open and can help couples make their own decisions.

“Mediation is a process to help couples who have decided to separate or divorce to talk things through. Mediators are trained to help that couple reach agreement about how to make the best arrangements for the future. This maybe about the way children are cared for or how finances will be organised.”
