The store in Church Walk is asking for good quality clothing, handbags, shoes and books to support the charity’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The coronavirus crisis has had a devastating impact on BHF’s income, leading to research funding being cut in half and the delay of important scientific breakthroughs,” said a BHF spokesman.

The Burgess Hill shop had to close for months throughout 2020 and the start of 2021, but it is now reopening with safety measures in place to protect staff, volunteers and customers.

There is social distancing on the shop floor, protective equipment for workers and screens at till points.

Customers can donate items at a Covid-secure donation point at the shop entrance.

For larger donations people can book a free collection service at www.bhf.org.uk.

All pick-ups will be carried out in line with government social distancing guidelines.

The charity’s postal donation service is also available for smaller items where donors can print off a label and take their items to the drop off point.
