Chance to find out about Bognor Regis businesses

A POPULAR event next month will showcase Bognor Regis businesses.

The Business Interchange is holding its fourth better business exhibition in the Regis Centre, in Belmont Street, on September 16 and 17.

It will be open to the public from 10am to 4pm both days to give them the chance to back the firms.

Joint organiser Chris Heaps said: “This exhibition is a great opportunity for local people to support the businesses on their doorstep.

“They can find out what the firms do and what is available in the local area.

“By supporting those businesses, they support the local economy which is very important to improve the services and facilities in the area.

“Bognor needs that help. The local economy is struggling and it needs the support of the community.

“Buying items from businesses around the town also means you can get the support from a person rather than having to deal with a call centre.

“That can make the difference if something goes wrong between walking into a shop and speaking to an individual, and tackling a faceless corporation on an expensive phone line.”

The exhibition will feature 30 stands.

Those already booked include displays about health, car maintenance, lettings, computers, floristry and advertising.

Priority is given to TBI members but the Federation of Small Businesses will also have a presence.

The weekend features a range of other attractions as well.

The first day will end with an evening networking event, open to all businesses around the town.

Seminars will take place on both days.

Among the speakers will be the FSB, a local historian and a training company.
