Brighton supermarket giving away sunflower seeds to spread message of hope

Free sunflower seeds are being given away to shoppers at Morrisons in St James Street, Brighton.

The store also has 100 packs of seeds to give to local schools and care homes as part of the Morrisons Seeds of Hope campaign.

Louise Coffey, the community champion at the St James Street store, said the seed packs are on every till and at kiosk to pick up.

"They are completely free to pick up with your shopping if you’d like but once they’re gone that’s it," said Louise. "They will also be put in click and collect orders so our online customers are not missed out.
