Christmas spirit is coming to Bognor Regis town centre

The town council’s Christmas Lighting scheme and Bognor Regis BID’s new light features are being put up in different areas of the town centre.

All of the lights will be switched on throughout the day on Saturday, November 28.

Their installation is a positive note in what has been a difficult year for businesses and the community, a BID spokesman said.

Adding to the growing Christmas spirit will be Christmas banners in the BID’s specially designed theme, Christmas trees, a website and associated social media channels sharing all the ways you can enjoy Christmas in Bognor Regis – whatever restrictions are in place. 

There are also some surprises in store from both the BID and town council, with the arrival of ‘a very special new resident’ and the town council’s innovative video projection, the spokesman said.

BID Chairman, Jason Passingham, said: “Christmas is always such a special time, and we’re really looking forward to seeing people’s reactions to the lights and surprise installations provided by BID businesses in the town centre this year. 

“People have already started their Christmas shopping, and we’d encourage you to support local businesses however you can in the run up to Christmas – even if their doors are closed. 

“So many of your favourite Bognor Regis businesses now offer online shopping, click and collect, and delivery options, and they’d love to hear from you right now. 

“You’ll find details of how a wide range of high street shops and services are operating during lockdown on the BID’s Shop Local website –www.shoplocalbognorregis.co.uk “

Details of all the ways to get involved in Christmas festivities in Bognor Regis town centre will be available to view on a new website, which goes live on November 16 – www.christmasbognorregis.co.uk
