Crawley town centre supermarket shuts

Sainsbury’s in Queensway is now shut, the supermarket giant confirmed today.
The retailer announced plans to close the store in September. In a statement, today, a spokesman for Sainsbury’s said: “Our Crawley store has now closed and we are doing everything we can to find alternative roles within Sainsbury’s for those affected.

More than a year ago Sainsbury’s announced plans to close up to 15 supermarkets over the next two years while opening 10 new ones over the next five years.
