The scheme, which individuals, clubs and organisations could apply to for help with a project if they were unable to raise funds, has seen the club support Ashurst Wood Primary School, Sullivan’s Heroes, Sussex Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome charity, and more.

The dream scheme cheque handovers were done virtually to adhere to social distancing guidelines, but the recipients are holding the cheques they received.

The cheques were handed over by Brian Richens, president of East Grinstead Lions Club, and pictured is Mike Penny, treasurer for East Grinstead and District Association for Mental Health.

The donation will help towards hardship grants for some of its members.

Other recipients include Fiona Smith from Sullivan’s Heroes and Hayley Bull, general manager from Bloomin’ Arts.
