They had to close again after the second lockdown was brought in by the Government at the start of this month.

A spokesman for Freedom Leisure said: “We would like to thank all our customers for their patience, support and loyalty once again during the second lockdown period of closure of Summerfields Leisure Centre, Falaise Fitness Centre, Bexhill Leisure Centre, Bexhill Leisure Pool and Rye Sports Centre.

“We can’t wait to get everyone back using their local leisure centre, and we are delighted to announce that the centres will reopen on December 2 and will include gym sessions, swimming and group exercise. Swimming lessons will also start again.

“Our centres will continue to provide a Covid safe place to give customers the reassurance we know they need. The teams can’t wait to get back to the business of providing our local communities with opportunities for exercise, activity and the chance to socialise safely with others.

“After a four-week lockdown, and in the run-up to Christmas we all need a chance to re-energise and what better way than a swim, exercise class, game of badminton or a gym workout. Until December 16 you can join for just £10 and pay nothing more until January 2021.

“There will be some changes to programmes and opening hours over the Christmas and New Year period and full details will be on social media and on www.freedom-leisure.co.uk so please ‘follow’ your local centre on Facebook and check the website for updates.”
