Penn Elcom has created Penn Parcel Box, developed by engineers, and designed to help customers not miss another delivery.

The company’s chairman, Roger Willems, said: “We had a number of requests from customers who had problems with not being able to receive deliveries and parcels going missing to see if our engineers could develop a secure solution.

“The Penn Parcel Box is the result of months of refinement to create a secure, watertight, high-quality, stylish parcel delivery box that will withstand the British weather and protect shoppers’ deliveries from opportunist thieves and the elements, as well as providing contactless delivery for people wanting to minimise their potential exposure to Covid-19.”

He said the Penn Parcel Box is suitable for homes, workplaces and communal spaces, meaning shoppers need never miss another delivery because they are not in or are unable to get to the front door quickly enough.

He said: “By improving the online shopping experience for customers, the Penn Parcel Box will also improve brand reputation for e-retailers and those who have developed an online service, which is why we’re keen to speak to innovative brands looking for new ways to improve customer satisfaction.”

Pre-assembled and easy to install by bolting to a wall or drive/floor, the one-way delivery hatch keeps parcels, letters and boxes secure in the locked storage, which is accessed with a key. The Penn Parcel Box is available in ivy green, slate grey, white, cream and black.

Penn Elcom’s marketing and e-commerce director, Rob Platt, said: “The Penn Parcel Box is a stylish, secure, quality solution for shoppers who don’t want the stress of chasing missing or damaged packages, but want the peace of mind that their courier will leave their parcel at first attempt and that it will be waiting for them when they get home.”
