Holmewood Interiors, which specialises in the design and installation of kitchens and bedrooms, says its fitting teams have instantly re-introduced their superb Covid-19 safe measures so that they may continue to provide kitchens, bedrooms and home office installations in advance of the festive break.

The stringent procedures that were implemented during the first lockdown are now back in place, a spokesman for the firm said. These include ensuring that all members of staff wear masks and gloves and wipe all contact surfaces with antibacterial wipes; in addition to avoiding any face to face contact with a client and only communicating via phone or FaceTime as they work within a closed room or contained area.

Shaun Penticost, owner of Holmewood Interiors said: “Holmewood Interiors is a family run business, with many of our showroom and fitting team living with young or at risk family members.

“I feel very strongly that it is our company duty to do all we can to ensure that our staff and customers remain safe.

“Therefore, it is important to me that when we enter people’s homes to measure up, or fit their new kitchen, bedroom or home office, that they can be confident we have protected ourselves, and them, as much as possible.”

During the last lockdown, Holmewood Interiors developed an advanced online system which means that they are able to start the design process with a client via a screen sharing tool, and not always need to meet in person.

They have also created a guide detailing how to accurately measure a room enabling a virtual 3D design to bring a new layout ‘to life’. And, with sanitized door, handle and worktop samples being delivered to customers so that they do not miss out on being able to see, touch and view the item in its actual setting, the creation process is able to move forward without a showroom visit.

“The most important factor for us is that we continue to offer a safe environment in which to get our customers projects underway” said Shaun.
