In pictures: Hove seafront venue's beachfront deck reopens

These pictures show the stunning setting and the support for the venue as it reopened along with all non-essential retail and outdoor hospitality. And it not hard to see why it is already proving popular.

The venue's beachfront deck has been reopened to the public on a walk-in basis for 'lounging, all-day dining, long evenings and good times' with owners reassuring all Covid-19 protocols are strictly adhered to so we can all socialise safely. Food, including seafood platters and local charcuterie and cheese boards are available as well as drinks including wine, cocktails and beer from Rockwater's Shacks By the Shore. It is currently open from 7am until 11pm every day.

Luke Davis, Hove resident and founder of Rockwater Hove, said: "This last lockdown has been especially difficult for the nation, but finally, the opportunity to see friends and family responsibly is just around the corner. To ensure the safety of ours guests, we will be exercising social distancing, as well as providing an app for guests to order their food and drink from, all with the aim of helping family and friends enjoy the most memorable experience, in the safest way possible."

Luke said the opening of the beach deck is just the beginning, confirming the much-anticipated roof terrace will open on Saturday, May 1, and the indoor dining space reopening on May 17.

He added: "Our vision for Rockwater Hove is to provide a community hub in Hove that reflected the heritage of our beautiful seafront. Our concept for the opening of the beachfront deck and Shacks By The Shore will be a taste of what's to come upon a full opening. Our vision for Rockwater Hove is that it will be far more than a restaurant and bar that serves as a new community hub, but it will be a wellness centre too, offering fitness classes through multiple exciting collaborations with local fitness experts through Rockwater Life."
