Checkatrade founder Kevin Byrne put up a message of hope in the window at his Thrive Selsey Wellness Centre in Ellis Square last month to raise spirits in the community.

The sign had initially been made for the Wiston Estate light-up trails at Christmas but the event was cancelled due to Covid-19.

Instead of leaving an illuminated sign, displaying a message of hope, to go to waste, Mr Byrne had the idea of moving it inside the gym for passersby to see.

Mr Byrne said at the time that he was planning on displaying another message, with a love theme, on Valentine’s Day - and he has stood by his word.

"Despite our current situation, love conquers all," he said.

"We have to remember that in this difficult time if we have love we can get through anything.”
