Morrisons launches next day doorstep delivery service for eldery and vulnerable customers

Morrisons has launched a next day doorstep delivery service for customers unable to go shopping in a store.

The service is available for elderly, vulnerable and shielding members of the community and allows customers to call up and order from a selection of essential groceries like milk, eggs, pasta, fruit, vegetables and toilet roll.

Alison Whitburn, Community Champion for the Morrisons store in Littlehampton, said: “You can call 0345 611 6111 between 8am and 4pm and choose from a selection of essential groceries.

“If you have friends or family in need of this help, please ask them to call (0345 611 6111) and select option 5 to place an order.

“The order will be delivered the next day and payment will be taken by a contactless card payment from the delivery driver. Unfortunately we cannot accept cash.

“Please go to https://my.morrisons.com/doorstep-deliveries/ to find out more and to view what items can be purchased.”

According to the Morrisons website, any order placed before 5pm should be delivered the next day and to use this service customers must live within 10 miles of a Morrisons store.

There is a limit of three per item while using this service.
