Staff on the pizza counter will be preparing 30 pizza kits each day this week, Monday to Friday, and Alison Whitburn, community champion, will be arranging deliveries for families who need them most.

She said: “We want to ensure that as many children as possible have access to the food they need over the half-term break, which is why we’re offering these pizza kits to those who need them in our local communities.

“They’re also a fun activity for families to enjoy together.

“The 150 pizzas we are donating this week are going to Littlehampton Community Fridge, Family Support Work for families in Littlehampton and Rustington, and Sparkles Food Parcels in Angmering.”

Each kit includes ready-to-roll pizza dough, tomato sauce, grated cheese and either peppers and sweetcorn or pepperoni and ham, meaning there is a meat and a vegetarian option.

The kits also contain a recipe card with cooking instructions and details of a competition that families can enter to be in with the chance of winning £100 in Morrisons vouchers.
