The market has been a regular feature at Southwick Community Centre on Friday mornings for years.
Shut since mid-March, the market is now ready to reopen on Friday, September 4, from 9am to 11.45am.
Not only was the community centre closed due to Covid-19 but the majority of the market’s producers were shielding due to their age or health, so were unable to meet until now.
Frances Burt, market manager, said: “We’re really excited to be back, seeing our regular customers and meeting new ones.
“We’ve taken measures to ensure everyone’s safety, such as social distancing, regular hand sanitation and needing to wear masks, but what hasn’t changed are the tasty treats on offer and the wonderful home-grown plants and crafts.”
Southwick Country Market is held in the Porter Room at Southwick Community Centre, which will be open from Tuesday, September 1.

In order for us to continue to provide high quality and trusted local news, I am asking you to please purchase a copy of our newspapers.
With the coronavirus lockdown having a major impact on many of our local valued advertisers - and consequently the advertising that we receive - we are more reliant than ever on you helping us to provide you with news and information by buying a copy of our newspapers.
Our journalists are highly trained and our content is independently regulated by IPSO to some of the most rigorous standards in the world. But being your eyes and ears comes at a price. So we need your support more than ever to buy our newspapers during this crisis.
