Laurence Foord, Chichester District Council divisional manager for communication, licensing and events, said: "We know that traders and shoppers alike will be delighted to see the markets safely return to the city centre.
"These popular markets have been operating from a temporary home in Cattle Market car park since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak in order to help comply with Covid-19 regulations.

"We know that shoppers rely on the markets for their fresh produce and goods, and many have told us that they feel safer shopping outside in the fresh air."
'Covid ambassadors' will be on hand in the city centre to help control queues and encourage social distancing.

"Supporting district businesses is really important to us and the markets have a crucial role to play in the success of the high street.
“It’s great to see so many people supporting their local businesses, which is so important, now more than ever before.
