Update: Eastbourne Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic will be appointment only

A former empty unit in The Beacon shopping complex has been fitted out and signage placed outside.

Signs at the NHS facility advise people it will only be for those who have pre-booked appointments from their doctors surgeries.

Health officials have remained tight-lipped about the opening but the Herald understands talks have been underway for some time to open such a facility within the centre and patients have received texts from their medical centres saying they will be called there for vaccinations.
