Unique Knit and Sew began offering the free delivery service yesterday (Monday, March 16) to all customers in the Bognor Regis area.

Owner Paul Wells said because of the virus, businesses are going to have to change the way they operate. He said: "We have started to open up to do home deliveries. If we can help out we will do and we will just have to be doing things different really.

"We have all go to be doing stuff differently."

A statement on the companies Facebook page read: "If you do need to self-isolate for any reason, we’d just ask that you let us know of your situation in the ‘Other Information’ section when placing your order or talk to one of our team members by telephone when placing an order.

"Let us know where you’d like your order to be left when delivery takes place if you are unable to get to the door. We currently have good stocks but where items do need to be ordered our suppliers are getting out orders to us within a couple of days.

"Just as you are at home, we’re making every effort to try and help limit the spread of bacteria and have put additional cleaning measures in place in our shop and are following the advice from Public Health England.

"We would like to thank all our customers for your continued support, in what could be a very worrying time for businesses. Do try to keep shopping locally where possible. The next few weeks are certainly going to be challenging for every small business."

Customers can place their orders though the companies website at www.uniqueknitandsew.co.uk and select the collect in store option or can telephone orders through on 01243 826132.
