Eastbourne barista found dead at family home

A quiet and caring 28-year-old Eastbourne man took his own life, an inquest has heard.

Joshua Ashley Holter, known as Jay, was found in a garden cabin at his family’s home in Northbourne Road in Eastbourne on April 18 last year.

An inquest at Eastbourne Town Hall on Thursday (January 7) heard Mr Holter, who worked as a barista, was found by his father Steve Bradley.

A post mortem revealed Mr Holter had died by hanging.

East Sussex coroner James Healy-Pratt said, “This young man took his own life at home fully intending to do so and tragically with a fatal result.”
