CountyClean seeking candidates for HGV training and employment

Due to its committed expansion plans, CountyClean Environmental Services are looking to attract applicants for this training scheme, which will result in successful candidates becoming HGV drivers/operatives.

There are currently 12 positions within the company (job-seekers must have a full UK driving license with no penalty points). Applicants will start their career as a labourer to gain experience from other highly skilled and experienced drivers/operators. Furthermore, the HGV training will start once successful candidates have the relevant medical and provisional LGV licence.

Successful candidates will be working within the Transport and Operations Department department to assist drivers/operatives as a second person on various jobs. This role will involve - but is not limited to - safely carrying out all aspects of liquid waste removal, drain jetting, unblocking and repair throughout London and the South of England for commercial, industrial and domestic customers.

Trainees will also attend the relevant courses specific to the industry as well as the role, all while working towards gaining a HGV license with the group’s help and support. Included in this are courses specifically geared towards safety.

A clean start

Launched in 2007, CountyClean was the brainchild of Mike Walker, who with the support of his wife, Debbie, have since taken the business from one that owned only a single five-year-old tanker into a multi-million-pound turnover business, with more than 40 staff over three locations and a growing fleet of 23 commercial vehicles.

CountyClean is known to develop and promote staff from within the company, and as such will cover the costs for all training, and offer candidates a full-time permanent role with an excellent professional company to work for.

This is what CountyClean offers:

Starting salary as a labourer whilst undertaking HGV training is £25,000.00 per annum

Once fully qualified HGV Class 2, base salary increases to £30,000.00 p/a

After 12 months of service, base salary increases to £35,000.00 p/a

On target earnings once fully qualified as HGV Driver is £45,000.00 p/a

Candidates will also receive 20 days annual leave and bank holidays, and all overtime is at an enhanced rate.
