The Railway Touring Company, which organises the steam trips, has had to cancel the annual Bath Christmas Market steam tour, which is usually held in December with pick-ups in Worthing and Hove.

The company said the trip could not take place this December “due to operational reasons outside The Railway Touring Company’s control”. A spokesman said it was not possible to bring the stock to Three Bridges from where the train was to start.

An alternative Bath and Bristol steam trip has been organised for Saturday, March 18, 2017. For more information and to book a place, visit www.railwaytouring.co.uk
