Adrian Winnicott, company director, said protection measures have been put in place to allow the stores to open five days a week — Tuesday to Saturday — on limited hours — 10am to 4pm.

He said: “We have reopened our Midhurst branch, along with our Petworth and Billingshurst shops in West Sussex, and four Hampshire stores. After the Covid-19 lockdown we had to close for the safety of our staff and customers.

“We are grateful to our loyal staff to help get open again.

“We have been overwhelmed by the positive customer response and are working hard to get everything that’s needed for the local community.

“Our suppliers are gradually returning to work too, so we have the majority of lines in stock or more than happy to get products for customers if needed.”

Mr Winnicott said the company hopes to extend the opening days and times soon, adding: “See our Facebook page for updates.”
