As local businesses adapt to the current climate, The Crown Inn at Dial Post is now offering free delivery within a four-mile radius of the home-cooked food on its menu.

The free house, owned and run by Penny and James Middleton Burn, has launched the home delivery service so that those who are self-isolating can still enjoy a pub meal.

The move comes as pubs were told to close their doors from tonight (March 20).

Among items on the menu are the pub's popular homemade pies, Hunter’s chicken, sausage and mash, fish and chips, burgers and a selection of starters, salads, desserts, drinks and real ale.

Call the pub to order or use the online booking system. You just go to the website as if you were booking a table, select the time you would like your food delivered, and add your order to the 'requests' section, along with your address and postcode.

The minimum order for delivery is £25. There's no minimum order for collection. Plus, for every order of £50 or more you will receive a £10 voucher to redeem at the pub.

For lunch, orders for delivery must be made before 10.30am that day, and by 11am for collection.
