Mayor of Bexhill Lynn Langlands opened the café alongside Sidley councillor Sam Coleman.

Corner Café and Bakehouse is owned by Mike and Julie Norris.

After opening the new business, councillor Langlands said: "What had historically been the corner Post Office has been taken on by Mike and Julie Norris who have created a relaxing space for customers to dally with a coffee and pastries or a light lunch. This is just the stopping point you need when shopping in the village.

"Such positivity and enthusiasm about contributing to the high street and supporting the very special local businesses that currently exist in Sidley helps to generate a much needed local economy."
