The luxury care home, in Warren Road, will house up to 84 people over four floors and the first residents are expected to move in around mid-February.
Worthing mayor Ibsha Choudhury cut the ribbon to officially open the first phase, the marketing suite, at 11am on Wednesday, October 23, and invited guests were given a first look inside.
Jan Marples, home admissions advisor, welcomed in representatives from three charities the company has been supporting, West Sussex Mind, Andy's Angels and Sight Support Worthing, and other invited guests.
Jan said: "It is about reaching out to people. We want to be part of the community and we have been working with these local charities, offering them space for events.
"You kind of want to get away from the idea it is an old people's home, we want to be part of the community and we want our residents to remain part of the community.
"We are getting all sorts of different people coming to look, people from all different areas, people from the local area and people from further away who want to move to be near family."
The area available to view is on the lower ground floor, with building work continuing in the main part of the home. On show are single rooms and a couple's suite, with a separate lounge and kitchen area, bedroom and en-suite shower room.
Rooms are already being reserved. To book an appointment to visit, go to www.cinnamoncc.com/care-homes/merriman-grange or call 01903 251942.
The home, which will be similar to the company's Lakeview Grange in Chichester and Earlsfield Court in Bexhill, offers residential care and dementia care, with an option for respite care on a short-stay basis.
The home has been built on the site of Skyring, a ten-bedroom detached house that became derelict, and the five-bedroom neighbouring property.
As the care home is built on a hill, the lower ground floor, where the marketing suite is located, covers only half the area of the other three storeys.
The car park that is currently being used will become the staff car park. The main entrance will be at the front, accessed from the A27 / A24 Warren Road.
Surrounded by mature trees, the home aims to provide first-class facilities with an holistic approach to the wellbeing of each resident. Activities will be planned to match interests and abilities and there will be themed parties each month.
