Arun Veterinary Group, which has been running for more than 40 years and has two existing practices in Pulborough and Storrington will open its third off London Road on Saturday May 17 from 11am-4pm.

The grand opening will see celebrity model and dog-lover Jodie Kidd unveil the new surgery. She will also be judging a pet ‘catwalk’ competition while the nurses provide veterinary careers advice, and a free microchipping service in association with the animal charity Dogs Trust.

There will also be stalls, a raffle along with food and refreshments served by staff from The Red Lion pub.

Matt Gittings and his team at Arun Veterinary Group have developed a reputation as a caring and dedicated practice, providing a personal yet professional service within the community.

The practice’s popularity has grown significantly and it seemed only natural to expand their service to Ashington, a growing village with fantastic community spirit.

While the plot was purchased in February 2009 with a view to demolish the dilapidated shop and build a new purpose built surgery construction did not start until October 2013.

The new surgery will have a fresh and modern look. It will be a fully functional practice with on site laboratory, kennels, theatre, x-ray and dental facilities. It is easily accessible just off the A24 and has ample roadside parking. Matt firmly believes in providing continuity of care to clients and with this in mind there will be the opportunity to develop a relationship with one vet and the practice will be staffed by village-based, qualified nurses and experienced receptionists.

Arun Veterinary Group has also announce it has been voted ‘Best UK Vets 2014’ which is an award presented to the British veterinary practice that has been given the most four or 5five star online reviews by their clients.
