Order Neapolitan street food to your door as Rustico changes to contactless delivery

Amid Government plans to reduce the spread of COVID-19 the Brighton and Hove eateries were forced to bolt their doors, but each has launched a new contactless takeaway service to keep its customers fed through Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

Head chef Antonello Casula said: “We haven’t re-invented anything but with pride, taken our Nonna’s advice from back home and closed the doors. We have had to adapt our service style to simply delivering the same homemade experience and authentic flavours from our streets of Naples, contactless to your doorstep.

“Our Neapolitan pizzas are traditionally handcrafted using simple ingredients, Italian flour, water, yeast and olive oil. Proven for at least 48 hours.”

Business partner Gennaro Venditto said the Frittura Napoletana Platter is a must try. He explained: “The Frittura is one of the most celebrated street foods offered in Naples based on a selection of deep fried bites served all together.”

Also on the menu is pizza dough filled with ricotta, diced cured sausage, pancetta and mozzarella; potato crocché; mozzarella in carrozza; and fried pizza bread with tomato sauce and parmigiano. All pizzas are available on a gluten free base or with vegan cheese.

Rustico has a Brighton restaurant at 300 Ditchling Road in Fiveways and at 244 Portland Road in Hove.
