The Lansdowne Hotel is opening ‘1912’ tomorrow (October 14) and it represents the Lansdowne’s fascinating history with the hotel currently in its 110th year of being owned and run by the same family, now in its fourth generation. The restaurant specialises in seafood and steak dishes and is open daily 12pm-8.45pm. The restaurant is open to non-residents and now has its own entrance from King Edward’s Parade, in addition to access within the hotel. The previous restaurant space has been totally restored with a complete redecoration.
Highlights on the new menu include a surf’n’turf steak or burger, grilled tuna steak, king prawn linguine, plus the signature dish grilled seabass fillet. Diners can also choose from salads, platters, vegan options and a selection of desserts.
During October and November an introductory promotion of two courses for £19.12 is available for certain dishes on the menu. This is available daily. There’s also a daily happy hour in the bar from 5pm-7pm with a selection of £6 cocktails.
