ELG Planning, which is preparing a planning application on behalf of Bride Hall Developments, said the new stores at Ashdown Business Park would create 100 new part time and full time jobs.

The buildings would be occupied M&S and HomeBargains.

Subject to planning, the stores could be open for 2022, a spokesman for ELG Planning said.

Residents are invited to attend a consultation event at The Ashdown Room, Civic Approach, Uckfield, on June 24 from 10.30am to 4pm.

Representatives from M&S, HomeBargains and Bride Hall will all be on hand to discuss the proposals.
