Reopening of Ore Post Office delayed

The reopening of Ore Post Office at its new location has been delayed due to coronavirus.

The branch at Dhruva News and Off Licence, 492 Old London Road was due to reopen next Thursday (May 14).

But Post Office Ltd said the date of the move will be announced at a future date because of the pandemic.

The previous branch at 490 Old London Road, Ore, closed temporarily in August 2019.

The opening hours will be Monday to Friday from 5.30am to 7pm; Saturday from 6am to 7pm; Sunday from 7am to 1pm.

Post Office services will be provided from an open-plan counter alongside the retail till of the convenience store.

Sam Coe, Post Office area manager, said: “We are delighted to soon be restoring Post Office services to Ore as we know how important these services are to a community.

“The branch will also be open much longer hours than before for the convenience of customers.”
