Shopping centre is at heart of town and constantly evolving

Swan Walk Shopping centre in the heart of Horsham was originally built in the 1970s and was then covered and extended in 1989.

Its 320,000 square feet of retail space is home to 55 stores and is currently anchored by H&M, M&S, Boots and Wilko. Other famous names include Accessorize, Pandora, Gerry Weber, Roman Originals, Jones The Bootmaker, Sports Direct, Holland and Barrett and The Body Shop. The centre, which is the sponsor of the Retailer of the Year Award, is constantly evolving to reflect market forces and customer demands. The Wilko store was added to an old atrium area in 1996 and the new 16,000 square foot H&M store was created in 2016. This year a major development of the old BHS space is under way to create a new 18,000 square foot anchor store, a new retail unit, a 24 hour gym and a new home for Happyscamps play café. In addition the centre will see all new customer toilet facilities which will include a Changing Places Facility and improved parent and baby provision.
