Staff shortages force closure of Chichester bar

Sit and Sip, in North Street, has said it hopes to reopen 'as soon as possible' after facing personnel issues.

The craft beer and gin bar posted an update on social media at the end of April.

"Hi Sippers - a little update on our Tasting Room in Chichester.

"Thank you for your messages and support, we really appreciate it but unfortunately at the moment we don't have a solid idea of when we might be able to re-open

"However we are beavering away behind the scenes to hopefully get things in a position to re-open as soon as possible - but sadly we are some way off yet.

"We are just as keen as you to get the doors reopened again so we'll you keep you posted with further updates as soon as we can."

One keen punter asked why the venue has been closed.

Sit and Sip responded: "Thankfully it's nothing too serious - we're mainly struggling with staff shortages, like a lot of the hospitality industry. We just don't have enough team to open the doors."
