Totally Locally Fiver Fest comes to Eastbourne

From Saturday February 15-29, independent retailers in the town centre and other shopping areas like Terminus Road, Meads and Old Town will be offering a range of products and services for just £5.

Shops taking part will display posters showing what their £5 offering is,

One of those taking part in the initiative is the beach Hut at the top of Terminus Road where they will be selling Sam Toft box prints which are usually £12 for £5.

Fiver Fest organiser Leanna Forse said, “We have everything from gifts and lunches to gym tasters and piano lessons – all for £5.

“It’s all about encouraging customers to visit their local independent businesses.

“Eastbourne has a huge range of independents but with online shopping and large supermarkets, they are often forgotten.

“Fiver Fest Fortnight has worked really well in other towns and cities across the UK and we hope that by bringing it to Eastbourne, we will be able to show off the variety of independents we have on offer in our town and therefore, support our shops and the local economy.”

Any independent businesses wanting to take part can register by emailing [email protected] with the business name and £5 offer and they will be sent further information and a variety of posters that can be used in their own advertising.

Additionally, Eastbourne BID will advertise businesses and offers on the website and social media, as well as a map of Eastbourne-wide participants.
