Sue Watts won first prize with a fantastic coffee and walnut cake, and was also presented with a £50 gift voucher to spend at Swan Walk.

Once the judging was done, volunteers from Shooting Star CHASE charity ran a cake stall selling all of thecakes which had been entered into the competition.

The event raised £378 for the charity with volunteer John Hastings, of Horsham Friends of CHASE, commenting: “We sold out by lunchtime and received a lot of positive feedback from many regular supporters who admire the care Shooting Star CHASE provide to families living in this part of the world who have a life-limited child to look after.

“Our two children’s hospices at Guildford and Hampton and our Hospice at Home team are very dependent on the donations received from the general public so that we can continue to offer the full range of our services to families that need our help so we are very grateful to Swan Walk and the general public who supported us.”
