Horsham Bridge event raises more than £1,000
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
This was part of the national ‘Festival of Bridge’ and the bridge club, with it’s other three festival events, has raised a total of around £3,000 for the charity.
The ‘Café Bridge’ involved 48 enthusiasts, from around Sussex and Surrey, as well as local players, moving round the town playing competitive bridge in nine different cafes and restaurants.

Hide AdThe winners of the main competition were Josie Allen and Jim Downes, with Denise Lincoln and Sarah Little, and Julia Goddard and Alison Roberts winning the subsidiary prizes.


Chris Denne, the organiser, said: ”It’s been really good day! Everyone has been so generous in their help and donations. A special thanks goes to all the places that supported us – Amici, Bills, Cafe@No4, Cote, D+D, Esquires, Gails, Miller+ Carter, Waitrose and Wolfpack.”
